Lori Foster - Luscious: Well, that's just a nickname for Bad Boy Lucius Ryder his tenants of the apartment building call him. A well deserved name for the Hunky SWAT Guy who takes to a loyal and loving dog when he first lays on it after saving a woman's life. After this suspenseful scene, Lucius 'Lucious' Ryder finds Marci Churchill's sister Bethany staying in her apartment. Not that he cares this time around. Their attraction takes heat from the moment Bethany opened the door to her sister's apartment in the early hours of the morning, wearing only her night clothes. Lucius, of course, swallows the sight of her whole when he sees her. Bethany begins to play hard-to-get for this sexy bad boy and he is up for the challenge. The excited story between these two love-birds get's better with every turned page. The moment of truth comes when an ex-boyfriend of Bethany's who really wanted to get even with Marci, and the man mistakes Bethany as her sister, well, you can't really blame him when they are identical twins. Lori Foster does it again in her story 'Lucious' in another sizzling anthology from Kensington Brava. Marci's story will be available in October 'O6. More info. at her website.
Erin McCarthy - It's About Time: Trish Jones, a defense attorney in New York City, goes to Ryan's Pub, a local hang out, expecting a date but she was stood-up by the loser she was supposed to meet. Oh well, she says. But instead of waiting a bit longer, knowing the bastard isn't going to show up, she goes into the bar and meets up with her friend Joe who is the Bartender. He tells her his buddy since high school is having a bad day because his ex-wife is getting married to an older guy. She goes over and talks to her, exchange pleasantries after cutting his beer supply off. Caleb Vancouver was his name, a hottie construction worker, big in the shoulders, chest and arms. They never did realize they were going to hit it off right then and there and end up going home with each other later. Surprise, surprise, huh? Oh the chemistry is definitely right between them. After the 'last call' scene is over and their passionate night finally begins. You will definitely want more when you finish this story. Erin McCarthy gives a whole new meeting to picking somebody up at the bar. They way it should. Definitely a great read.

Amy Garvey - Wish You Were Here: It looks like Mackenzie Pruitt has just inherited her Aunts beachside cottage and she wants to do some remodeling, but she never anticipated the gorgeously sexy young carpenter Leo Dawson to show up on her doorstep. Since he showed up, she couldn't keep her eyes off of him and no could Mr. Dawson keep his eyes off of her. We know something is going on between these two when later on they get caught in Mackenzie's bedroom doorway. A lot of heat radiating from these two. And the blasted telephone interrupted their closeness. Man, don't you hate when that happens. Well he walked into this situation when he told her he could take a break from the work he was doing on her shed and help her move boxes to where they had to go. Or did she plan it when her box off China fell on her foot and broke to pieces. Well after I think about it now, I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but an excellent way to lure the carpenter in to her web. When things just start to heat up between them, she finds out a secret about him that may damage their relationship. Will their love prevail or will it fail before they can get their future off the ground? I guess you will just have to find out. Trust me it's worth the wait.
