Curtiss Ann Matlock – A Place In The World:
This story is inspired by Dr. Ricki Robinson who works with people who have Autism and their loved ones. She is a founding member of an organization called Cure Autism Now. She devotes her life in not only helping people with the disease, she also educated them on how it effects everybody and how to cope with. This is somebody we should all look up to.
Jennifer Archer – Hannah’s Hugs:
Inspired by Aviva Presser, who loves to bring joy and hope to people who lead troubled lives by going off to the impoverished regions of the world. She tries her best to make the most out of the lives of desperately ill and who are disadvantaged have a gift given to them like a teddy bear, where a small miracle will happen that will have such a huge impact on their lives. We can never forget people like Aviva Presser.
Kathleen O’Brien – Step by Step:
This heart warming tale is inspired by a woman named Sally Hanna- Shaefer who is the founder of the Mother/Child Residential Program, this program helps mother’s cope with being abandoned by their partner with their kids. It provides services like counseling and opportunities and shelters to homeless women and children. Sally was abandoned by her partner in the early seventies and was left with three small children and the youngest being three months. She does everything in her power to help these people make it on their own. You can definitely learn a lot from this woman.
